Welcome to Our Home!

Well, we're in -- pending a few boxes scattered here and there. So maybe our lives can return to normal - as normal as it gets, anyway. This is a china cabinet that we found in the classifieds for cheap, cheap, cheap. It was fun to get my china out - It's been in a box since my mother got it for me while I was in college.
Here's our kitchen - It's not big - and it is hot (note the fan), but it's going to work fine. Aren't my new curtains cute!
Here's our front room - The whole brown wall thing is a little different for me, but I'm getting used to it. We don't have much of a dining room as can be seen by the table in the middle of the floor, but again, it's going to be fine.
As the song says, "Oh, you're always welcome at our house - at any time of the day...."

Happy Birthday Necha!

Today, NECHA's the birthday girl!
Another poem I'll give a whirl.
This lass is one you can enjoy -
Her freckled smile so sweet and coy.

That she is still with us - we feel truly glad
Thanks to a new kidney she got from her dad.
When I'm with her, my giggles start
As I listen to this sister of heart.

She's been the perfect mother of two
Josh sure was lucky when she said "I do."
Necha will raise them with ribbons and bows
and her fine example as each of them grows.

And as we celebrate 27 years
We'd like to give our Necha three cheers!
For being a mother, sister, and friend
To you - this birthday wish we send.

Happy Birthday Ryan!

After Jon was born - Three months to the day,
We learned he had a new cousin – Hooray!
He was in the ICU for some time.
With lots of prayers that he’d come out just fine.

And he did! We all felt so much relief!
Within his home, he made his place as Chief!
Of his attitude, his parents learned quick;
Up his little sleeves were more than one trick.

With a winning smile and Grandpa’s red mane,
And naps that sometimes let parents feel sane.
The truth is – he’s too cute to ever stay mad
Even when he’s been especially bad.

Our fam’ly adores him and loves each tale
Of life at his home – It never goes stale!
Ryan – we love you! We’re glad to be near,
To enjoy your friendship lots more each year!

We love you Ryan and hope your day was perfect! (and mommy's day too!)

Happy Birthday Grandpa Warnick!

A big “Happy Birthday” to Grandpa Warnick
Of our little visits, he gets such a kick!
He makes us feel welcome in his home – It’s true!
With big hugs and whoops – we get not a few.

The boys sure do love the attention he pays,
The home-made toys and those nice sunny days.
We do hope your day was happy and bright
That you got birthday spankings! Oh, what a sight!

Happy Birthday!

The Twin Falls Temple Open House

We are so excited to be so close to the new Twin Falls Temple. It used to take us 4-5 hours one way to go to our assigned temple in Vernal, so it was exciting to be here where the temple is just in Logan and starting the end of August, we'll be able to go to Twin Falls. The open house begins on Friday and we're excited to have tickets. It ends around the middle of August. Anyone can go, but you need to go to lds.org/reservations to get tickets. If you need a place to stop - we'll put you in the sparest of spare bedrooms!

Well We're Here

We are starting to feel like normal again - relatively. We closed on the house today, but have been renting it for a couple of weeks. Garrett is liking his new job and the hours seem to work better for him. We have sent out emails with our new address and phone number, so if you haven't gotten it, email me and I'll send it to you.

We have Jonathan enrolled in a preschool and he is excited. It seems to me to be a new phase for us and the beginning of the 12-year education thing for our family. I'm a little excited and nervous to be going through this phase. I will miss having Jonathan with me all day, but I think this will be an exciting time for him.

Primary has gone so well - He has met a couple of friends there and really looks forward to attending. Even Gabe is going to nursery - although he does cry in the beginning and clings to me when I come to get him and am waiting for his papers.

It feels nice to just enjoy Jacob who is getting so rambunctious and loves to kick, giggle, and is starting to goggle down foods the way Jonathan did.

We really like our neighborhood and have had people from all around us show up with cookies, jam, phone numbers, and offers for help. We're feeling very lucky to be in such a great area.

Happy Birthday Brecon!

Today I write a poem for a boy I've not met;
I've only seen his face upon the Internet.
They say "A picture paints a thousand words." - It's true!
In seeing his sweet smile, he gives us little clues.

But in one month we'll meet and give this kid a kiss
Oh boy! We just can't wait - We wouldn't want to miss.
Brecon - Happy Birthday! Although we're miles away,
We hope you know you're loved on this - your special day!

Happy Birthday Brecon - We'll see you soon!
