Here's my parent's grandchildren all dressed up for Halloween. Jonathan is the cowboy on the left. Gabe is the scarecrow on the right. Jacob is the little puppy on the bottom row on the right. And here's a little family picture. I'm the girl.
Gabe's Sunbeam class combined with mine Sunday so I got to teach him how to pray. Monday, for Family Home Evening, he taught what he learned to his brothers. He told them that when you pray, you fold your arms, close your eyes, and "bend over." Then, he demonstrated by doing a bow that resembled the ones from The King and I....cute.
Our neighbor came over and was teaching Jonathan how to play basketball. "If you shoot from here, you get two points. If you shoot from here, you get three points. If you run with the ball, you're traveling." A little while later, I watched as Gabe and Jonathan walked around arm in arm, while the neighbor shot baskets. Jonathan explained, "He shoots the baskets, and we're the travelers."
I've been teaching the kids to follow last month's Friend article on studying the scriptures, so we start our scripture study with a prayer to help us "understand" the scriptures - which is a hard word for little boys. Today, Jonathan said, "Please help us 'stand' the scriptures!"
